LEAD CONTRACTS SPECIALIST (Offshore) – Qatar Engineering & Construction Company WLL

Overview:

Co-ordinate, identify, develop and execute strategies for tenders and contracts.

Briefing of Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain deep technical knowledge of project execution methodology.
Evaluate contracts, quotations and make legal/technical recommendations.
Be commercially astute, and shall be capable of taking up assignments in all aspects of contracts and project control including cost control.
Be a competent negotiator.
Advise Planning Department, Project Manager, and Operations Department about contractual rights and obligations.
Evaluate & monitor contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts.
Attend negotiation meetings with clients.
Coordination with Estimation/Proposals team for the review of bid preparation process from time to time.
Exercise authority at the level determined by management for the position.
Establish control procedures, standards and complete the assigned tasks within the stipulated time frame.
Be focused on the needs of the customer/client and strive to exceed their expectations.
Develop and maintain harmonious working relationship between subordinates and superiors.
Critical thinking, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions to choose the most appropriate one.
Complex problem solving, identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
